Endgame/Event Statement

Thanks for the oh so acurate endgame ls description tai!

For me the endgame side of things really has very little to do with items, & more about the achievment.

I've been really really proud of our ls in sky, yeah we may had a messy fight thr 1st time we pop a new god, but hell by the 2nd time everyone takes it on board & it works.

People have shown dedication to farming outside of hours which has helped massivley and is much appreciated.

For me unless if a fluke & happens to be up unclaimed (which means its more than likely a crap 1 anyway) HNM's are something this ls will never do.

I hate camping at the best of times nevermind with a full ls for many hours & with no guarantee of claim, would i like the gear, hell yeah, but do i have a life? yeah, gear is at the end of the day some pixels.

Moo agree with the "ego" thing, Ive lost many good friends to endgame fever. Can been on your fl for 2 yrs then over night become a prick because they get a few drops & think they're better than everyone else. I will repeate this is a game, jeasus pull your head out ur arse, yeah you have every job at 75 because you need a real life.... its not because your uber..., yeah your gear rocks... now tell me when did you last see daylight?

Try my best not to come across like a seargent major when we do stuff, if I dont say pls or ty its not because I'm a prick its because im typing it quickly & its urgent lol.

Dont really see any ego's in the ls & thats what seems to create this atmospher where its still fun. Long may it stay like that.

I too like time to mooch around the game moo without ppl on my case to do something, so dont worry have as much mooooing time as you like without pressure

well said m8 prob most of the peacocks are HNM shells that strutt about lol im ok with odd sky runs and dyna and limby and assult and all other stuff nyzul isle id like to try tried salvage im not to sure on that but got to give them all a go before i rip shreds out engame i suppose but what do i know anywayz lol mooooooooo

WOULD SOMEONE PLEASE DEFINE "END-GAME"!!!!!!!!!!!!! lol, everyone makes it sound like a bad word, something that leaves a dirty taste in your mouth, lol. One thing everyone has to remember, this ("This" being ffxi) is a GAME("GAME" being an instrument of relaxation and amusement). Granted, there are some VERY hard-core shellsout there that take things to a level of intensity that few can deal with. I know, I've been in them. However, One thing that most of these shells fail to do is acknowledge that we're all individuals that pay a subscription to have fun. I have always been of a mind-set that it's not so much WHAT I'm doing, as opposed to WHO I'm doing it with!!!!
I want to establish Einherjer runs twice a week for those that want it. I personnally have never considered these runs "end-game" but you may change that opinion as you advance in chambers, I was also considering sponsoring 1-2 limbus runs/week as well. Appolyn ABC coins are a pretty good way of paying for these events. However, it's all about what ya'll wanna do. I think that those that currently have sky will never look back once they have sea, therefore, I'm gonna dedicate myslf to gratifying Chaka's.... Errr, I mean, helping anyone that needs CoP done I can't farm ABC's by myself, lol. However, they can easily be low-manned. I wanna do Rostrum pump runs for people too, that's always a fun event.
In short, there're a TON of things that are outside of both sea AND sky that can include and benifit the ls as a whole, let's not forget that either.

This is an old thread that was started at a time when there was a bit of inter turmoil in the LS about where we were heading, and a chance to clear things up.

My definition of an endgame ls is pretty simple, a full endgame ls = must attend events.

Theres a whole world of difference between doing endgame events & being an endgame ls, so no endgame isnt seen as a dirty word, but we have no desire to become an endgame ls.

Regarding events we recently ran a rostrum pump event, and still need to arrange another for the remaining people, unfortunatley we struggle with numbers for some of the larger events, which has added a certain amount of trepidation to those of us who organise these things.

We also have a huge stumbling block in this ls with event timings due to the wide range of different time zones, meaning its more or less impossible to make every event open to the whole ls, Einherjer may be the exception to this due to the short time for competion.
