Yeah, well, it's worth a go...

Righty then, splendid and benevolent linkshell buddies. I have a rather enormous favor to ask of any of you with the WoTG expansion. I am after this item:

Zha'Go's Barbut

As you can see it is a splendid hat for my RNG. This drops from Za'Dha Adamantking in a BCNM in Beadeux [s]. Now in true FFXI fashion, just getting to the BC is going to be a pain in the grinner, and I appreciate we probably won't get it all done at once. The elaborate and seemingly cruel way to get access to this BC is by defeating the following Beadeux [S] NM's:

Ga'Lhu Nevermolt

Bres

Di'Zho Spongeshell

Observant Zekka

Mu'Nhi Thimbletail

Blifnix Oilycheeks

Va'Gho Bloodbasked

Ra'Dha Scarscute

...Yes, that's what I thought Shocked

Anyway, if you check those pages you will see that there are a fair number of items that can drop just from those NM's, some useful, some..not so useful. The only items I am interested in are the letterbox items, they are used to gain the key items used to enter the BC. The details of which can be found right here:

The Buried God

The beauty of this being the headgear I am after is apparently 50% drop, so we may end up having to do this twice...or more...

But it think it could be pretty good fun, and while quite an epic task, I would be very grateful on a more epic scale! bounce

So there it is, my *cough*humble*cough* request to you all. Help me do this and I will be in your debt forever (I am already in Boza's debt forever for my Newton Coffer key, so he gets 2 forever's worth of indebtedness, and Moo, Emmski, Yanto and whoever else helped me with Ungur can also have another forever's worth too), refuse to help me however, and I shall make it my business to do untold damage to the sewerage systems of your moghouses to the extent where even Mr Muscle drain unblocker will be rendered useless. Evil or Very Mad

So, feeling lucky, punks?

seriously please help me!

I'm willing to offer my services whenever I can. I would love this item for my RNG as well... I've looked at this quest about a million times before and came to the conclusion this is something I'll probably never get, despite how badly I want it and what I would do to get it. Sad

Any time between Monday-Thursday 6:30PM-12AM and if you want a 70 RNG (working on 75 ASAP); I'm more than willing to help. :p

Just let me know when and where and I'll be there. Smile

Thanks mate, Ranged Attackers are very desirable for these fights so your help would be appreciated. The 50% drop thing is a pain, I'm sure if it isn't too painful, and we get enough people, then we could have another crack for yours too. Maybe even make it into a static group for all the SCNM items? I'm sure there must be other similar items for other jobs from the other strong holds that people must be after?

That is a list of all of them, and all the other ones that can be done. Incidentally I would also be interested in doing some ZNM stuff too as a group, as some nice items are available there too!

Can I come along on that Bastok [S] quest? I am allied with San D'oria in the past, does that make a difference?

good grief, Sic!
read thru alla the stuff you posted and it does look like epic fun, but... needs an alliance and planning, yes? Since wipes a high possibility, more than one person needs all 8 key items to turn in for BC?

count me in for healing magic

as long as it is planned in advance Smile

From what I understand, you have to do the prerequisite quests first. If you've done those then you should be fine don't think it matters what nation you're allied with.
