My HDTV is dead....

Well my HDTV finally fully died this morning. I rang up the shop that i bought it from as i lost the recieot (been 3 years lol) and it seems back then i had the brains to take out insurance AND im currently covered which is awsome. I have the TV booked in for repair on Thursday, so hopefully ill have further news on when i can come back to Vanadiel then.

There are some things its worth it to get insurance on.

HD TVs
Laptops
Hand held games such as game boys PSPs and so forth
Cell phones (washed mine a couple of times)
Cars
Camera's and camcorders. (dropped mine several times)

Usually past that, its a waste of money, and time. Normally by the time an item breaks, you cant remember where the paper work is, and the cost of repairing an item is usually less than the cost of the insurance. Until they get much better at HD tvs its a good thing to have the insurance. I had insurance on my 32 in HDTV but Circuit City is now defunked, and there is no place to take it should I need a repair. Sucks to be me, but I got it for $10 for 4 years! not a bad deal. Well, not a good deal either if I cant use it.

It was nice to get a chance to talk to you in game. Dont worry, it wont be long till you are back and popping.

I always buy stuff from John Lewis when it's gonna cost over £500, they give you a 5 year warranty, free, I just had my TV repaired that I bought with my 360 in 2005!

yeah the insurance i took out allows me for a full refund if its unrepairable lol or i can get a LCD at equal value which isnt bad at all. Though i really like the the look and feel of my HDTV so hopefully its repairable however should it not be at least there is light atthe end of the tunnel oh and Deji that NM beat the living lights outta me lol. 2 mages would own it though, but solo i ran outta mp when i got it to 10%. 1 Tier4 would have killed it ; ;

ok at the risk of sounding very scouse, dont take out any shop added insurance if anything expensive breaks throw it down the stairs and claim on your home contents insurance.

That would be ideal if i had home insurance. Not even sure where i am currently is gonna be my permanent place.... I have moved 3 times in 2 years and its freaking annoying i can tell you that much and the paper work involved in changing address, risk assessment etc etc just put me off getting it here till im told something for definate by the ruddy council lol.

Just a quick update on the situation:

Samsung have told me that the TV is not reparable and that they will be making me an offer on monday (just realised thats today seeings its nearly 4am lol). Once the TV is up and running i will be returning and resuming normal service.
